Our Beneficiaries
Our Story

CHAMP Foundation is completely teenager-run. When we met at the beginning of our junior year of high school, we immediately realized that both of us shared a desire to make a difference in the world, regardless of how big or small. We combined our different passions of psychology and medicine to establish CHAMP. We chose to base our foundation on supporting children because we strongly believe that helping younger generations succeed in their lives will lead to a better future for our world. We want to raise awareness and inspire more teenagers to try to make a difference by helping give children around the world the proper care that they deserve, both psychological and medical.

The Need for Healthcare
Healthcare is a basic necessity that every children should have access to. Quality healthcare is important in promoting a healthy and balanced life, preventing and managing diseases, minimizing unnecessary disabilities and early death, and achieving health equity for all Americans. About 4.3 million children did not have any health insurance coverage in 2018, an increase of 425,000 (or 0.6 percentage points) from the previous year, according to the U.S. Census Bureau's annual Health Insurance Coverage in the United States. That is large amount of children who aren't getting the healthcare they need to live a healthy life. At CHAMP, we want to raise awareness about this large number of children without healthcare because we believe that children are the future of America and we want to ensure that all children get the healthcare that they need.

The Importance of Psychological Well-Being
According to Child Mind Institute, an estimated 17.1 million out of the 74.5 million children in the United States of America have had or have a mental health disorder. These children need to be supported and allowed to live up to their full potential without any psychological obstacles in their way. Mental health is equally important to physical well-being. Unfortunately, mental health problems are not always given the seriousness and urgency that physical illnesses are. Here at CHAMP Foundation, we are trying to raise awareness of the gravity of psychological welfare and encourage proper treatment. We believe that children are the future of America and we want to ensure that all children faced with mental disorders are provided with the care and help that they need.
